Purple Crayons and Puddles

For some, it's the great beyond at the far end of the galaxy that triggers the imagination. For others, just the big backyard is filled with magic and wonder. It's at that time where a stick can be a wand and a rock a precious jewel and everyone is friends with everyone. These are the times when the only problems you have in life, are when you lose your favourite purple crayon or when you have to stay inside instead of playing outside in the puddles. Suddenly, none of this matters anymore. You could care less about that purple crayon you lost yesterday or about splashing in the puddles in the rain. You just don't have time for all that silly child-ness, you have to worry about school and homework. What happened? You grew up. You step into that gap between childhood play and adulthood work where you're still trying to figure out who you are and where you fit into this world. These perhaps, are the most important years and just maybe, the most fun...

Years pass by. Slowly you get taller and smarter. You learn new things and you begin to ask inquisitive questions that just pop out of your mouth. You pass through grades, where you feel as if everyday takes a year and you experience more things. Sometimes scary sometimes crazy and sometimes fun. As years whip past, your childhood years begin to blur into a mess of memories all out of place in your mind. Looking back on everything that has actually happened in 13 years it all seemed to have gone so quickly.

It feels like just yesterday when I stepped into the halls of middle school, somewhat intimidated by all the grade eight kids who towered above us all. And now look! We're the big grade eight kids now that all the little kids look up to. This year has been phenomenal. Grade eight has been phenomenal. So many laughs and jokes. But what's scary is that next year is the year of grade nine where you'll walk the halls of high school, once again the newbies and the youngest. Maybe you'll be a bit different. A bit changed... This time you're one year older, one year wiser and you have one more year of life's experiences under your belt. Still, you're exposed to so many new things and you'll be soaking it up and living it all up. Amongst all this excitement comes also learning about yourself and finding yourself amongst a billion other people on this planet.

Trying to find yourself I think is the hardest thing in life. You could almost picture yourself as a puzzle. You're job is to complete the puzzle to form what you want yourself be be like. The tricky thing with this is that this puzzle has so many pieces and sometimes pieces fit in different spots then you would have thought. And sometimes more than one piece can fit. To find your true inner self you have to listen to your gut feeling instead of being told what to do. Sometimes you have to be a bit different from the crowd and that's hard when you always want to fit in.

This year has gone by fast. Too fast and I just don't know what to say to that, it's been indescribable. If I had to use one word to describe this year I wouldn't be able to. I guess you could describe it as superawesomeamazingfun but does that really count for one word? But I guess since I have to end blog post this I'll leave it to one of my favourite quotes that really just ends it well. All I hope is that next year will be just as memorable and just as amazing as this year as some of us head off on new paths in life. Remember to live that roller coaster of life and have fun!

"The end is just the beginning and the beginning is just the end..."

Rise and Shine

The moon in the high sky begins its descent and the stars light begins to fade. Crickets cease chipping and noises of the city begin. The stary darkness fades as the sky turns into a beautiful oragney, pinky purple colour. The sun rises, birds chirp and the morning begins whether you're ready or not. Some people embrace the early mornings as they find it is beautiful to watch the sun rise. And for most others, mornings are awfully dreadful and unpleasant to wake up to who think that the sun set is much more stunning.

For me, mornings brings adventure. Especially very early mornings. There's just something about them that just get me energized and hyped up for the day. Every morning is a new morning, a fresh new start. Everyday is different never ever exactly the same but loaded with new things. But the only problem with waking up early is that you're dead tired by the end of the day but sometimes it's a great way to get to sleep.

Then there are those mornings that can be very excruciating if you think very negatively about them. But maybe they wouldn't be so bad if you treat them more positively and if you're more optimistic. I've found that if you actually have something to live up to or look forward to in the morning they make mornings a lot less painful.

So when you swing your legs off your bed in the morning be optimistic. Smile and you might just surprise yourself how much better your day goes. Because everyone knows...

"The early bird catches the worm!"

Starbucks/Tim

You've just been shopping for hours and all you want to do is sit down and have a drink from one of your two favourite coffee shops which just happen to be located right next to each other. What do you go for? The classy black, white and green circle with the lady in the centre, or the brown and yellow oval? The pure white cup or the brown one? It's been long debated. What is better? Tim Horton's or Starbucks? And what is my opinion on this matter?

Starbucks is known for being a higher class coffee shop as opposed to Tim Horton's. From it's buttery leather couches to their smooth glassy tables Starbucks has beautiful interior design and cannot even come close as to compare to the inside of Tim's. Their drinks are simply delicious topped with creamy, fluffy, whipped cream and the actual contents is rich and smooth. Whether you get something hot or cold Starbucks has a wide variety to chose from along with unique names for their sizes of drinks. (Venti, large, grande, medium, and tall, small) I think that with Starbucks it's also more customised. You can chose just what you want and you can say just how you want it done. Starbucks is all about pleasing you, the customer!

Tim Horton's is one of the first things that comes to mind if I think about Canada. They are most defiantly more so aimed towards Canadians is pretty much only situated in Canada, unlike Starbucks which is more an American company. Other than coffee and other drinks Tim Horton's also has quite a selection of snacks such as sandwiches, soups and donuts. But they still defiantly make home brewed coffee very tasty although not as fancy. Everything is always made fresh which is also a very good thing.

All in all, what is better Tim Horton's or Starbucks? I think that if you want to treat yourself you should indulge in Starbucks but if you're just passing by grab Tim Horton's. Both places are both great and quite delicious to treat yourself to a steaming cup of coffee!

Clear Waters in the Future

It's a beautiful peaceful day. The water is clear blue and calm. Fish, sea turtles and other marine life swim about happily and care free. All of the sudden the world is spun into chaos. Mayhem disturbs the water causing it to churn and sea life to scatter, helplessly swimming for shelter or a place to hide. A murky substance erupts from the great above, causing a bleak pit of despair and to some, the world collapses entirely.

Everyday, the world is being changed by us, the humans. And everyday, our carbon footprint expands deeper and wider. This April, we took things to the next level by altering our waters forever by a man made catastrophe that we can only take the blame for. The source, oil.

Last month, we committed a massive crime against our oceans by accidentally spilling more than 400, 000 gallons of crude oil into one of our most valuable natural resources, water. By doing so, we have now endangered thousands of feet of water and hundreds of species are now vulnerable, all from oil.

Oil spills are seriously dangerous. They can destroy the most beautiful coral reefs, disrupt schools of fish, attack innocent birds and wreck the natural way of life. And of course when the circle of life is broken everything can fall apart quite easily, but yet, all of this can happen from one mistake that we now must fix.

Oil, may not seem like a big deal to anyone. It's just something we put in our cars to make them go. But for other creatures, not necessarily humans, that may find that it might be the difference between life or death. It can suffocate them as they struggle to hold on to life and it can destroy their homes, leaving them homeless and completely out in the open.

But there is hopefully a brighter future coming our way. As you are reading this, teams of workers are working to help clean up the spill and help out some of the wild life stuck in this mess. Our waters will never be the same thanks to this oil spill, but perhaps we might be able to save most of our living creatures that live in the sea. This might be the worst oil spill yet, but only if we make it so. So here's to the hope for clear waters in the future and beyond.

Justin Jackson?

Justin Beiber is a kid with amazing talents that have wowed the world simply from his youtube videos. If you think about it, it's actually quite extraordinary. Any kid that's gotten as famous as he has in very little time must have some talent, although looks also play a part in becoming a celebrity. But, many people disagree saying that he is a horrible singer and has a very "girlish" voice that destroys his singing ability. And then there are the people that love him so much, that they compare him to one of the legends of music, the king of pop himself, Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson worked hard for the many, many years when he was in the music industry, bringing all the latest and greatest hits to the world. He lasted for many new eras of music always finding a way to change and bring music to a new level of greatness. That, is what makes MJ a legend and THE king of pop. In my mind there can ever only be one seat, and that one is already taken by a person who fully deserves it.

Justin Beiber on the other hand is quite new to the world of music, having only created a couple of albums and a few hit singles, unlike Michael Jackson who had created hundreds of hits. But, I do agree, Justin is a very talented singer who can inspire many. So for now, I can't stand to give him the title of king of pop. He just doesn't stack up to MJ at this point. Maybe in 10 or 15 years then we can see if he's still holding up and can finally compare him to Jackson.

Justin vs. Michael. I would have to say Michael at the moment. In time my mind may change but for now the answer is clear, MJ just has so many more years of singing under his belt. But I think that Justin could definitely qualify for another title. Maybe, youngest pop sensation? But for right now, no, I would not say that Justin Beiber deserves to be called the king of pop. The question is, can he survive just as many years as MJ? We'll just have to wait and see how he unfolds as a truly inspiring artist.

Uniforms?

You wake up. Oh, shoot, you slept through your alarm, again! Only 10 minutes to get ready and head out the door. You spring out of your bed and land heavily on the carpeted floor, running to your closet you start digging through your clothes. You randomly stick your hand in and grab a tee shirt and then search for your favourite pair of skinny jeans. Making a messy pile of disarranged pants in your closet you remember that your jeans have to be washed, guess your not wearing those today... Deciding to go for an semi-okayish pair of sweat pants you leap down the last few stairs and grab an apple from the table and head out the door. By the time you get to school, you're late, you notice that your pants and your shirt do not match and that you are probably wearing the most ugliest outfit you have ever seen in your entire life. That's life without an organized uniform to help you in the morning.

A grey kilt, white shirt, navy sweater and a blue, yellow and red striped tie. That is our uniform. Consider wearing just one outfit for quite a few years of your life, it just gets boring after a couple of weeks. But then there are the pros, like in the morning not rushing trying to figure out what to wear. Uniforms are... well they're both good and bad. It's hard to say.

Bad news, uniforms are just not what most people would call fashion forward or a 'do' in the fashion world. They're just not flattering on most people and are dull colours such as grey, navy and white. Most teenagers would not be caught in something like this at all on a weekend because uniforms are pretty much the opposite of comfy. They are stiff, pressed, and made out of materials that are not soft and snugly.

One last thing that makes uniforms okay are that they give people the sense of equality. Everyone is deemed equal. No one has the most expensive shirt, or the most trendy designer jeans. Everyone fits in. But is that enough to make uniforms okay to wear every single day of the school year??? Once again I'm stumped on what to say, split evenly on a fine line.

Uniforms have many pros and cons to them. I think it certainly makes mornings much more easier, but then there's the sacrifice of comfort and style. I think that it's all opinion. Does the comfort and style just cross the line for you? Or can you survive just for those mornings? In the end, are uniforms ultimately in for the better or worse? What do you think?

One Eye Open, Another Shut.

World hunger. You're probably thinking about some small kid in Africa who's ribs and bones are poking out. Well it's true there are some African children starving from lack of food but what your not thinking of is what's happening locally. It's like you're looking through one eye with the other one squinted, almost shut. You're fully aware and focused on one side of the story but the other half is all blurry. You know that hunger is happening wherever you live you just decide on focusing on the more open eyes view.

Something that strikes me is that there are so many people that are dying. It's worse than a disease and it can wipe out millions at a time. If you can compare it, it's like 300 jumbo jets, completely full, crashing with no survivors everyday! That's how many people die. It's unbelievable to think that so many people are dying because they are lacking something that almost everyone takes for granted. Food.

Most people have food. It's essential to all human beings that want to survive. It's amazing how much is wasted, yet so many people are starving in other countries and would think that they would be lucky to have your table scraps. Not just people over seas though. It's also that person that you always see begging on the streets for money and who lives in a cardboard box. Sometimes they don't even get a meal, so they take what they can get, and sometimes that's nothing...

Sometimes it's hard to open the other eye, because it hits so close to home, but it's just as important. Be grateful for everything you have because a lot of people would kill to live like you. So I challenge you to attempt to open your second eye, and to see the second half of the story. You never know, it might just spark your mind.

Face-Obsession

It's like smoking or drugs. Once you start it can become hard to stop. It seems pretty crazy that these things have anything in common yet it's true. Everyday more than 200 million people log on and start posting. It has become an obsession for many and although helpful in a many ways, it's not hard once you start, not to become hooked. What is this thing causing so much commotion? It's a place where everyone can chat, post, and comment to people all over the world without leaving the comfort of their own homes. It's Facebook.

An average user spends minimum 55 minutes on Facebook everyday! It's kinda ironic how Facebook is supposedly social, yet if people are spending almost an hour everyday online instead of actually being with someone, it's not very social. Facebook, I find, is a very artificial interaction between people. Some people act totally different when online than they do in real life. Most people find it easier talking to someone when they can't see your face and when you type you can't really give it the same emotion as you would if you were actually taking to them in person.

Facebook has changed the way we look at communicating with people. Before all you could do was call someone, and before that all you could do is send a letter. Now there's Facebook. There's instant chat and an instant update of what all your friends are doing. It's crazy how far we've come! But now some people are taking this too far spending hours and hours of their day on Facebook when they actually could be spending time with friends or family. For some it has become an unhealthy obsession that is taking over their lives.

All in all, I'm not saying Facebook is a bad thing. I'm actually a fan myself, it's a pretty decent idea that you can do a lot with. All I'm saying is not to live your life on Facebook, consistently updating your status when you could be doing much more interesting stuff. So the next time you have an urge to boot up your computer and log into Facebook, hang out with someone in person, not virtually, it may be a totally different experience...

Seize the Moment of Snow

You know that feeling you get when you see those white fluffy things falling from the sky. When they build, and pile on the ground higher and higher. It's at that time where you close your eyes and breath deep because you know tomorrow is going to be a good one. Why? Because there is going to be a snow day, one of the most anticipated part of winter. No school, no work and all play for one whole day in heaven.

When you wake up in the morning and look outside your window, its like a the world has transformed overnight and everything is covered in a soft, blanket of snow. The world is beautiful, the sun hitting the ice crystles in the snow with an almost blinding light. Kids are running around screaming while throwing snowballs at one another, while others sit around their fire place with hot chocolate reading a book all snuggled up and warm. Canada means snow, which equals coldness and hopefully some snow days tucked into the monthly calender.

The winter is here, weather or not we like it we just have to grin and bear through it. Those days that we get off, make it better than ever and supply you with some refreshment from those regular school days. The snow is here, the day is off, so seize this moment of being snowed in at home.

Olympic Dreams Of Gold

Imagine, standing on the highest of all the three podiums. The crowd roaring in your ears as loud as the ocean smacking its shores. You feel like you are on top of the world as you wave and smile out into the blinding flashing lights of photographers! This is what all athletes dream of. Night and day, it's what they are determined to do. They are dedicated, committed, and most of all believe in themselves that they can stand on the podium and represent their country proudly. This is what makes these athletes standout amongst all others and makes them true patriarchs and undeniably, indescribably the best of them all. But that medal just doesn't happen to land in your already open hands, you have to work. Work harder then you ever have before and you have to want it more then you ever have before.

Before this all happens, all the excitement and athletes actually preforming, the Olympics all start with a tiny flame that brings hope to so many people. That hope of a flame then grows and becomes a blaze and then a scorching fire with all the passion and love that everyone has for their sport. It travels all around the world, passes from person to person, from young and old. Then finally it reaches it's final destination, the place where it all takes place. The heart of the world for two weeks, Vancouver!

Its truly amazing and inspirational. The strength and willpower these people have just so they can represent their country and fulfill their hopes and dreams. But with all the pressure to be the top dog, it's very stressful and without their encouragement from fans, family and coaches it would be even more crummy. That brings up another point. Coaches. They are astounding! The key to success is a good coach, they become your family, they know everything about you and they push you to be the best you can be. Without them most athletes would be completely lost and wandering around like a lost puppy dog.

When Olympians enter the area where their event is to take place, I am sure that they are a bundle a nervous energy. Excited but not ready to let their country down and promising that they will try their absolute hardest. If they win they gain confidence, pride and memories that they will never forget, but if they fail to accomplish what they had wanted, they become depressed, still full of memories but much more different then those who have succeeded. They will analyze their movements and hope that next time, they will be the one with the flowers. That's whats so great about these people that they are not so easily to be pushed off their sport if they don't do so well. They reflect on what they did wrong and fix it so that they can be better. Role models are the words to describe this group of people.

So, when they bomb down the ski hill, triple lutz on the rink, or have a triple hat game, be proud! Remind yourself how they've worked so hard to get where they are, and their work will surely pay off even if they don't win gold. They now have the world's appreciation, love and focus. Cheer like you've never cheered before! Cheer not just for you're own country but for all of them because they all deserve your gratification for making it to a level of almost perfection. This is the time where everyone is gathered together. Keep in mind, the Olympics aren't just for winning and proving who's the best, its to bring everyone together with the love of sports.

If I had a Million Dollars...

If I had a million dollars...It used to be a fantasy of my dreams, but now, it's reality! It all started last Saturday, when I decided to press my luck at a Lotto 649 game. My horoscope told me it was my lucky day, and boy, was it ever right, (for once!) I chose my numbers and the next day, bam, I had become one of the richest in the city. I had won 40 million dollars!!!! I leaped up for joy, as I had never been a lucky person, never won anything in my life, never a prize, never a draw, never a raffle. Needless to say it was a miracle that I had won the 40 million dollar lottery jackpot.

I feel on top of the world! My heart is racing and it feels like I could just run around an hug everyone I see. I am so happy. I run, jump, and laugh because of the great fortune I just had. It's a miracle, a one in a million chance. It's not only unbelievable, it's absolutely crazy! But then, I think of all the people who are not happy at this time. I feel selfish and ashamed. I think about the people in Haiti, the people who are homeless and wounded. The people with no family, no parents, no one in their lives to take care of them, and I promise to myself that I will donate a fair chunk to their cause, so that I may make a difference in some of their lives.

Okay, so now what to do with this money... hmm... Then I think I'll hit the sunny beach of Australia, followed by a trip to Italy to visit Venice and Rome. You know what? I think I'll just take a trip all around the world to experience some really neat stuff as well as to help some of the other people who need help. I'll donate 5 million dollars to the devastated country of Haiti, as well as to some other charity's so that I may spread my happiness and wealth to other people who are less fortunate. But I still have so much more money! Bank some of it so I can gain some interest, and I'll invest in some stocks and some businesses, just to keep some money flowing. Eventually, maybe I'll start an organization, kinda like Craig Keilberger. It will help people in need by supplying them with some of the basic things that we take forgranted. Even food and water. I really want the world to be a better place and this will ensure that more people will be able to live a happier life. I sigh, what a wonderful thought. It's almost dreamlike...

I wake up, its 11:59 pm on Friday. Wait it's not even Saturday? I haven't won all this money? My head spins in confusion trying to figure everything out. My cell phone vibrates on the nightstand table next to me, indicating a text message. It's my daily horoscope. 'A lucky day awaits...' "Wow," I say under my breath. I get back under the covers and close my eyes, thinking about how great today is going to be... :)

That Moment in Life

Time and time again, I have always wished to be able to travel back in time to fix or do something that I messed up. But then there are those times where I just wish to travel back to a day where there is nothing to worry about, and I'm just sailin' smoothly through my life being carefree and happy. There are those special moments in life that you wish that could go on and on forever, and then there are those moments that you just can't wait to be over. That is just life. It's how life works, sometimes it turns out good and sometimes it turns out bad. But you can't help it, because there is no such thing as going back into time to change something. Until now...

Today, I have been offered a priceless opportunity that could change my life significantly. Going back in time to re-live a day in a time machine, pretty much a once in a life time opportunity. But I have been forewarned. If you or I changed something, it could change history! Even your life could change dramatically depending on what you chose to change. Time traveling can be very dangerous, so maybe I'll stick to something I don't have to change. Everything has turned out okay so far why bother disrupt the waters of the past. So then what do I do with this precious gift of a time machine that I have subconsciously stumbled upon?

Maybe I could just go back to the days where everything is chillin', where happiness is not ever a struggle and the world is a huge unknown massiveness that I simply must explore. Where things are never what they seem and the simplest things are the most interesting things I have ever seen in my life. Back to the time of my childhood. That time where nothing matters, and I don't yet understand the meaning of what worries or fears are. Everthing is just a happy bliss and I am in the centre of this fantay. I am loved by everyone and I swoon over strangers passing by, awed by my cuteness. Thats the time I want to travel back to. The good old days of my childhood.

And so the time machine takes me back to the days of my childhood. Days that are filled with endless fun and happiness. And I am able to re-live that happy moment in life that I'm always dreaming about and thinking about. Childhood. Soon after a new invention was made remarkably, by the same person. The time machine, to your future. And once again, I'm thinking about where I want to take my journey, this time into the future...

SUPER DUPER POWERS UNITE!

POW! CRASH! BAM! A comic book is filled with super heroes and also super, evil villains that the super heroes have to defeat. When the world has so many villains, the world needs super powerful super heroes to save the citizens of Earth. So the question that was asked...What super power would you want to have to help save the world? Well, all super powers are needed to defeat evil, so therefore, I would want to have the power to be able to switch between powers. Sadly there is no such power to be able to have all the powers. As long as I have a good team of super heroes to back me up, I wouldn't really care what power I got, but if I had to choose... I'd probably would want to have the power of mind deciphering so that I would know what the enemies were thinking at all times.

In my mind the most desirable powers would have to be mind reading, laser vision, x-ray vision, being able to fly, manipulation of animals, and the ability to be able to control the elements. If a band of these super heroes joined together, I think that they'd pretty much be unstoppable to anyone that got in their way. They each have a power that they would be able to contribute to the team and stop those pesky, evil villains from hurting innocent citizens. But saving the world isn't all about super powers and being skilled. All it takes is a bit of teamwork and that, that, is much more powerful than one sole, powerful person, rather it a super hero or a villain. So if you want to win a battle, join together the most powerful forces from all around and you will see that it will make your side strikingly, stronger.

So in summary, if I could have ONE super power I would choose mind reading so that I could help my amazing, super, team out by reading the minds of the villains and seeing what they're up to. But in the end, teamwork is the key to the door of global justice. For a last note, here's a quote from the legacy of all time super heroes, the big S himself, Superman. A role model to all who want their world to be a better place.
"I'm here to fight for justice, and for truth, and for the American way!" -Superman

The World in a New Perspective..

Walking in a new pair of shoes is sometimes very difficult. Especially if you are unfamiliar with their style. What I'm talking about is taking a walk in someone elses shoes and trying out a different lifestyle for a day. With a new pair of shoes you can turn into a whole different person, whether the shoes are good or bad. If I could "borrow" someone elses shoes for a day, I would choose...

The shiny silver stilettos of a celebrity... I think that most kids fantasize what life would be like if they were someone else. Most little girls dream of being Hannah Montana the famous pop star that has two completely different identities, a pop star and just a regular teenager. Well I certainly did when I was younger. Celebrities are idolized by so many people that they are treated a different way. And they act and live such a different lifestyle than most people live. They are publicised everywhere, and almost everyone knows them and wants to be them. I think that it would be a pretty interesting experience to be a celebrity for a day to see their perks, and the other side of the not so good. I probably wouldn't want to be one all the time, but one day would give me a sense of their life.

All celebrities all share something. They're all rich, famous and most of the time beautiful. Celebrities live in the luxe at all times! Although on the not so nice side, they are stalked by too friendly fans and hounded by the paparazzi just so they can take your picture. Secondly, you would have to be very conscious of what you do and what you wear at all times because, when everyone looks up to you, they watch what you're doing and wearing for every second of your life. It would be neat to see what they have to go through in their life, just so they can do basic stuff like getting coffee or going shopping. Sure it would be fun for one day, but I don't know if I could handle much more than that, I prefer to have a much quieter life where people aren't invading my privacy at all times because that's what happens to celebrities. They don't get a choice, once they've become popular, a quiet life is not possible until senior age where no one remembers you and you just become a celebrity from the past. Some people like this but preferably I don't want that to happen to me.

So if I could be one different person for one whole day, I would choose to be a celebrity. Any celebrity would do, I just want to see how their life differs from the one I live and maybe take advantage of some of the perks celebrities get offered. I'm sure that it would be a life changing experience which would really make me see the world in a new perspective. One that I would have never imagined...

So What Does This Mean???

Let's say the world is a plant. A plant eager to start his life. At this current time this small piece of greenery would be at that stage where things are starting to happen. Where the buds are preparing to bloom into dainty little white flowers and the roots are soaking up water like a sponge. With today's growing technology the world is drinking it up faster than ever before because the more we ingeniously invent the more we end up figuring out. Which, of course leads to many more inventions and much more technology. And although this makes life a lot easier for us there may be another side to consider, the life the plant lives. There are many benefits to all this but also negatives which we also have to look at. Let's look at technology as fertilizer, too much can be disastrous. Although we want nice size able flowers we do not want our flowers to be be too overloaded and to flop down because of the weight. So therefore we must watch how much new technology and fertilizer we put into our plant's pot.

Scientists believe we will have a computer that is smarter than humankind by 2013. This will be shattering to all of what we have learned in the past. This just proves that we are in the future, NOW! Predictions just grow larger every year to what we believe can be accomplished with our ever growing sense and understanding of the world. The world is picking up the pace by starting to jerkily accelerate everything we are doing. Global warming temperatures are rising faster than ever, technology is becoming an even bigger part of our lives, and we are hardly doing anything to stop this. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, or a good thing but something is going to happen, except no one knows what. So we've got to get a grip on things and start proceeding with more caution. Things are changing in the world, almost so quickly, that hardly anyone notices.

So I take you back to the "plant" analogy. Our plant has been taken good care of in all of the millenniums it has survived. So now it's our turn to water the plant and care for it. We mustn't wreck it in only a few centuries. Humans have become so smart that we have been able to create things that are unimaginable and somewhat unbelievable. Technology that will change life as we know it. So what does this mean??? This means that our plant has just blossomed and that we must be very delicate with it, so that we do not disturb any of its small delicate petals.
